Celebrating 731 Day — and 10 Years of Our Jackson Home

Yesterday was 731 Day here in Jackson — a date that’s more than just a nod to our area code. It’s a celebration of who we are. Local shops and artists, old friends and new faces, all coming together to honor this city we call home. There’s something incredibly moving about seeing your hometown love itself out loud.

I spent the day soaking in that joy and also had the privilege of contributing something to the celebration: a short video I made for Our Jackson Home, reflecting on their 10 years of storytelling in the city. If you know me, you know how much I care about people who care — and OJH has been doing just that for a decade, championing the voices and stories that make Jackson more than just a place on a map.

Their newest journal is out now, and it’s full of that same spirit. You can grab a copy for free at local shops across town — it’s a little piece of Jackson you can hold in your hands.
